Severe thunderstorms are not forecast through tonight across the contiguous United States. ....Synopsis... Meanwhile farther north, a broad belt of strong cyclonic mid-level flow will encompass much of the northern tier of states east of the Rockies. The split-flow upper-air regime will be hostile to appreciable airmass modification over the Gulf Coast. A few weak thunderstorms are possible as pockets of elevated instability develop over TX and the Arklatex.
