Severe thunderstorms are not forecast on Monday. ....Synopsis and Discussion... Isolated thunderstorms may occur Monday across parts of the Southeast along and south of a cold front. With persistent west- southwesterly flow aloft expected across this region, this front should make little progress southeastward during the day. Eventually the cold front will clear the East Coast and much of the Gulf Coast as surface high pressure builds over the central and eastern CONUS. Weak low-level convergence along the front should keep overall thunderstorm coverage low. Otherwise, elevated convection appears possible late Monday night into early Tuesday morning across parts of central/south-central TX. This activity will be related to warm/moist advection attendant to a strengthening southerly low-level jet. Instability across both areas should remain too weak to support an organized threat for severe thunderstorms. ...Gleason.. 01/28/2023 $$ = = = To unsubscribe from WX-STORM and you already have a login, go to https://lists.illinois.edu and use the "Unsubscribe" link.
