The severe weather threat for Tornado Watch 27 continues.

SUMMARY...The threat for tornadoes continues across far southeast
TX/Upper TX Coast and far southwest LA.

DISCUSSION...Recent surface analysis places the low about 15 miles
northeast of HOU, coincident with the tornado-producing,
line-embedded supercell moving out of Harris County and into
Chambers County. The warm front continues to extend eastward from
this low, with mid 60s dewpoints south of the front across far
southeast TX/Golden Triangle vicinity. Low-level moisture has not
penetrated as far inland across this region as it did across the
middle TX coast, likely confining the surface-based buoyancy to
immediate coastal areas.=20

Recent trends have shown several other cells with low-level rotation
and attempts at more robust low-level updraft organization.
Low-level winds remain very strong and will remain supportive of
line-embedded supercell tornadoes for the next several hours.
