....NO SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AREAS FORECAST...

....SUMMARY...
Isolated thunderstorms may occur across parts of the Florida
Peninsula and coastal northern California Friday, but severe
thunderstorms are not expected.

....Synopsis and Discussion...
A highly amplified, large-scale upper trough will likely encompass
much of the eastern states while moving slowly eastward on Friday.
The potential for isolated thunderstorms will exist along and just
ahead of a cold front that will move southeastward across the FL
Peninsula through the period. Only modest low-level moisture and
weak instability are forecast ahead of the front Friday afternoon.
Stronger mid-level flow is also expected to lag behind/to the north
of the cold front. Therefore, severe thunderstorms are not expected.
Isolated lightning flashes may also occur along the immediate coast
of northern CA as multiple shortwave troughs with cool mid-level
temperatures move across the eastern Pacific and West Coast.
