Severe thunderstorms are not expected on Saturday. ....Synopsis... A mid/upper shortwave trough will migrate from the central/southern Plains to the Mid-MS Valley on Saturday. At the surface, a weak low will traverse AR into northern MS, while a cold front drops southeast across southern/southeastern TX and western LA. Southerly low-level flow will maintain 60s F boundary-layer dewpoints ahead of the front across parts of TX and LA, with lower dewpoints further east toward MS and the TN Valley. This will allow for modest instability across the region, and isolated thunderstorms are possible. However, stronger large-scale forcing will remain north of the region, and vertical shear will be weak, or only marginally support organized convection. At this time, severe potential appears too low to include probabilities. ...Leitman.. 01/05/2023 $$ = = = To unsubscribe from WX-STORM and you already have a login, go to https://lists.illinois.edu and use the "Unsubscribe" link.
