Valid 041736Z - 041930Z The severe weather threat for Tornado Watch 13 continues. SUMMARY...Severe risk continues across southeastern Georgia and northern Florida, where locally strong/damaging gusts and possibly a brief tornado or two remain possible. DISCUSSION...Latest radar loop shows a line of showers and thunderstorms across the Atlantic Coast states from southern Virginia to northern Florida. At this time, the most intense segment within the broader line extends from southeastern Georgia south-southwestward into the eastern Gulf of Mexico. Within this segment, several complex structures are noted, including a fairly well-defined comma head/book-end vortex moving into northern Ware County. Associated with this portion of the line, potential for locally damaging winds remains evident, along with potential for a brief tornado or two. However, widespread cloud cover across all of southeastern Georgia and northern Florida should mitigate any appreciable, further destabilization potential. This, combined with flow aloft that is expected to very gradually diminish with time, suggests that risk should remain steady-state at best, as storms move toward coastal Georgia and across northern Florida over the next couple of hours. ...Goss.. 01/04/2023 ....Please see https://urldefense.com/v3/__http://www.spc.noaa.gov__;!!DZ3fj= g!8geFNii-1tAk_4rQFfUh1L04tm5D3Erj_XnMfVqJWJNAfG-AT3sfPJDw_hE6A4StQBiEhNcTj= n8z2JywqT4DH_Ex_oo$ for graphic product...
