The severe weather threat for Tornado Watch 8, 9 continues.

SUMMARY...Strong/severe convection will spread into central Georgia
over the next few hours. Counties may need to be added to Tornado
Watch 008 to account for this risk.

DISCUSSION...Numerous long-lived supercells continue along a
corridor from southeast AL into west-central GA. This activity is
embedded within a much larger precipitation shield that extends from
northern GA, southwest toward the western FL Panhandle.
Additionally, several organized line segments are embedded which
will approach the eastern edge of ww008 over the next 1-2 hr. While
surface dew points/instability are bit lower downstream over central
GA, adequate buoyancy exists for maintaining these storms.
Organization/momentum of this activity should encourage this
convection to spread east of the current watch. Counties may need to
be added immediately downstream to account for this threat as it's
not real clear whether a new Tornado Watch will be warranted.
