Lightning potential is low the rest of tonight.

....01z Update...

Mid-level short-wave trough is ejecting into the middle Atlantic
region early this evening. Resultant low-level confluence will soon
focus offshore and with it the potential for deep
convection/lightning.

Upper trough is settling southeast along the southern CA Coast.
Extensive shield of precipitation is currently noted across the
Sacramento and San Joaquin Valleys, extending southwest along the
warm conveyor west of Santa Barbara. Limited heating and poor
buoyancy do not appear conducive for lightning with this activity.
