No thunderstorms are expected across the continental United States
today or tonight.

....DISCUSSION...
An upper-level ridge will move eastward across the western U.S.
today as a shortwave trough moves southeastward into the northern
Plains. The pattern will help drive an area of high pressure into
the western Gulf coast region. Northerly flow, associated with the
high, will suppress moisture return and keep a cold, dry airmass in
place over much of the continental U.S. As a result, no
thunderstorms are expected to develop today or tonight.
