Thunderstorms are not expected over the continental United States
today and tonight.

....DISCUSSION...
An upper-level ridge will remain entrenched across the western
states as a persistent upper-level trough continues in the eastern
U.S. At the surface, high pressure will settle into the Great Plains
and Southeast. Northerly flow associated with the high will keep a
dry and cold airmass in place over much of the country. As a result,
no thunderstorms are expected to develop across the continental
United States today and tonight.
