Thunderstorms will be possible on Tuesday from the central Gulf Coast to Florida. No severe threat is expected. ....DISCUSSION... A shortwave trough will move eastward across the western Gulf of Mexico and lower Mississippi Valley on Tuesday. An associated surface low will move eastward across the northern Gulf of Mexico. The moist sector, where scattered thunderstorm development is expected, will remain offshore from the central Gulf Coast. Elevated thunderstorms will be possible on Tuesday in very weak instability ahead of the shortwave trough from southern Louisiana eastward to the Florida Panhandle. Additional thunderstorms will be possible across the Florida Peninsula.
