A few thunderstorms are possible tonight over parts of south Florida and the Keys. ....South FL... Isolated thunderstorms developed over South FL and adjacent coastal waters this afternoon and early evening in the vicinity of a diffuse front characterized by weakly convergent low-level flow and modest surface-based instability. Short-range guidance suggests additional isolated to widely scattered thunderstorm potential during the overnight hours as a weak surface low develops over the eastern Gulf of Mexico and moves east towards South FL and the Keys. Moderately strong mid-level flow may contribute to some degree of organization and the potential for gusty winds, however poor lapse rates in the low/mid levels should temper overall updraft intensities and severe weather is not anticipated. ...Bunting.. 12/18/2022 $$ = = = To unsubscribe from WX-STORM and you already have a login, go to https://lists.illinois.edu and use the "Unsubscribe" link.
