SUMMARY...Heavy snow is expected to increase in coverage over the
next few hours. Blizzard conditions area also expected, resulting in
reduced visibility and hazardous travel conditions.

DISCUSSION...Precipitation is beginning to blossom across portions
of western NE while ongoing moderate to heavy snow continues/expands
across parts southwest SD southeast WY and northeast CO early this
morning. Warm advection near 700 mb wrapping around a midlevel low
over the central Rockies, and strong ascent through a deep saturated
profile will support efficient snowfall rates into the morning
hours. Rate near 1 inch per hour are possible. Additionally, a
surface low near the CO/KS border will gradually lift northeast into
central NE, with a strong pressure gradient over the region
supporting sustained northerly winds around 20-30 mph with higher
gusts. This will result in blizzard conditions, reducing visibility
to less than 1/4 mile and leading to hazardous and rapidly
deteriorating travel conditions through the morning hours.
