Severe thunderstorms are not expected today through tonight. ....Synopsis... Within a largely zonal flow regime across the CONUS, an embedded shortwave trough will move quickly eastward from the central Rockies to the OH Valley by early Saturday. An associated surface cold front will likewise translate across the upper/middle MS Valley and the central/southern Plains. Ahead of the cold front, some inland advance of low-level moisture will occur across southeast TX and LA, though most of the moistening from the Mid-South into the OH Valley will occur above a lingering cool boundary layer. Only weak buoyancy is expected in the zone of warm advection from the Mid-South to the OH Valley, and a few elevated thunderstorms will be possible overnight. ...Thompson/Gleason.. 12/02/2022 $$ = = = To unsubscribe from WX-STORM and you already have a login, go to https://lists.illinois.edu and use the "Unsubscribe" link.
