Concerning...Tornado Watch 577...

The severe weather threat for Tornado Watch 577 continues.

SUMMARY...Threat for damaging gusts and/or brief, line-embedded
tornadoes continues across southeast AL, far southwest GA, and the
western/central FL Panhandle.

DISCUSSION...Regional radar imagery continues to show a line of
thunderstorms extending from central GA southwestward into the
western FL Panhandle. Expectation is for this line to continue
southeastward through a narrowing warm sector bounded by a warm
front currently extending from just east of TLH northward into
extreme southwest GA. Damaging wind gust and/or an embedded tornado
or two will remain possible as this line continues southeastward.
Wind gusts of 48 kt and 49 kt were recently reported at PNS and CEW,
respectively.=20

The line is moving eastward at 35-40 kt, bringing it to the edge of
Tornado Watch 577 around 1400-1430Z. Environmental trends are being
monitored for possible watch extension eastward into more of the FL
Panhandle.
