Severe thunderstorms are not expected through tonight. ....Discussion... Thunderstorm potential will remain quite limited across the CONUS through tonight. Two exceptions will be in the extreme northwest and southeast portion of the Lower 48. In south FL, the presence of low 70s surface dew points combined with modest boundary-layer heating may yield isolated thunderstorms this afternoon. Pronounced weaknesses in lapse rates, shear, and ascent will preclude a greater convective threat. In northwest OR and southwest WA, a vigorous shortwave trough should impinge on the coast midday and progress across the Northwest through tonight.
