Isolated thunderstorms may develop across parts of south Florida tonight, but no severe threat is expected across the continental United States. ....DISCUSSION... An upper-level trough will move across the Northeast tonight as another trough moves through eastern parts of the southern Plains. Another shortwave trough will be located in the north-central states. Overall, a dry airmass will be present across much of the continental United States due to high pressure. This will limit thunderstorm potential. The exception will be across the Florida Peninsula, where surface dewpoints will generally be in the 60s F. Weak instability across this moist airmass could be enough to support isolated cell initiation from this evening into the overnight period. No severe threat is expected. ...Broyles.. 11/22/2022 $$ = = = To unsubscribe from WX-STORM and you already have a login, go to https://lists.illinois.edu and use the "Unsubscribe" link.
