Severe thunderstorms are not expected on Wednesday. ....Synopsis... An upper trough over the Rockies will deepen and shift east over the Plains Wednesday and Wednesday night. As this occurs, weak low pressure will develop over the southern Plains. Weak southerly low-level flow will allow for meager northward transport of Gulf moisture, with surface dewpoints increasing to the low 50s F across central TX and the low 60s along the TX coast. A cold front will shift east/southeast, extending from near northeast KS into western TX by Thursday morning. Some showers may occur over central/northern TX in this weak warm advection regime ahead of the cold front, but poor boundary-layer moisture and scant instability will likely limit thunderstorm potential overnight Wednesday/early Thursday morning. Isolated thunderstorms are possible once again across parts of the FL Peninsula where rich boundary-layer moisture will persist. Nebulous forcing over the region, along with weak instability and modest vertical shear, will preclude severe potential. ...Leitman.. 11/21/2022 $$ = = = To unsubscribe from WX-STORM and you already have a login, go to https://lists.illinois.edu and use the "Unsubscribe" link.
