Severe thunderstorms are not expected on Tuesday. ....Synopsis... A shortwave upper trough over the Lower MS Valley will weaken and lift northeast, merging with another shortwave trough over the Great Lakes/Midwest on Tuesday. Further west, an upper ridge over the western U.S. will spread east over the northern Plains as an upper shortwave trough develops east/southeast over the northern Rockies. At the surface, high pressure will persist across much of the CONUS, and northerly low-level flow over the South will keep Gulf moisture will offshore, except across the FL Peninsula. Similar to prior days, isolated to scattered thunderstorms will be possible across the FL Peninsula and Keys.
