Severe thunderstorms are not expected on Monday. ....Synopsis... An upper trough will shift eastward across the Great Lakes and Northeast vicinity on Monday, while another shortwave trough develops southeast across the Canadian Prairies into the northern Plains and Upper Midwest. Another shortwave upper trough over the southern Plains will develop eastward toward the Ozark Plateau and Sabine River vicinity. Strong surface high pressure will persist over the southeastern states. This will maintain offshore trajectories, resulting in a dry airmass across most of the CONUS as Gulf moisture remains well offshore, except across the FL Peninsula. A few lightning flashes will be possible across south FL and Keys, but modest vertical shear and weak instability will preclude severe thunderstorm potential. ...Leitman.. 11/19/2022 $$ = = = To unsubscribe from WX-STORM and you already have a login, go to https://lists.illinois.edu and use the "Unsubscribe" link.
