Severe thunderstorms are not expected today. ....Synopsis... An amplified upper trough will move from the Middle/Upper MS Valley across the OH Valley and Great Lakes, while a leading wave moves quickly across the Northeast. A surface low is forecast to move east across New England, with a cold front pushing off the coastal Mid Atlantic, resulting in rapid drying. Minimal elevated instability may exist over New England early this morning, with a few showers and thunderstorms possible. To the west, a stronger cold front will continue to push east across the Gulf of Mexico and southeastern States, with a few elevated storms over the central Gulf Coast early in the day. Shallow convection/showers may occur over FL during the day with residual moisture and a weak flow regime, although warm temperatures aloft may prevent lightning from occurring. ...Jewell/Wendt.. 11/12/2022 $$ = = = To unsubscribe from WX-STORM and you already have a login, go to https://lists.illinois.edu and use the "Unsubscribe" link.
