....SUMMARY...
Severe storms are not expected through tonight.

A few lightning flashes remain possible this evening across parts of
the Pacific northwest beneath cooling temperatures aloft, with the
greatest chance along the WA Coast late tonight as a surface low
approaches from the northwest and convergence increases along the
coast.

To the east, weak instability currently exists aver parts of the
western Carolinas, and showers with sporadic lightning flashes may
persist tonight extending northward into western VA and WV as moist
southerly flow continues with weak warm advection around 850 mb.
