Hello Michiel!

 I tried it again in a different echo and looked at the intermediate file
 that is picked up by Golded. That file is still correct and definately at
 UTF-8 file. So Golded is the culprit. I have not looked at it properly, but
 I have the impression that the runes are represented in UTF-8 by 3byte codes.

 I will think of a method to bypass golded and see what happens then.
