Same reason all of the shows we like get cancelled.  To me Enterprise was a
thinking show and they just don't seem to do well.  It's kind of rare when a
thinking show and a popular show are the same show.  Also I think the Xindi
season killed it more then anything.  Also the time dialation didn't help.  If
they had stuck to Man exploring the stars and settling aurguments between 
races
it might have been a better received.  Time travel has been done to death.

Story lines like the Vulcans and Andorians where the best as it showed that 
not
 everyone likes or trusts the Vulcans.  It also showed us how completely out
matched Man is in the galaxy.
