It looked so phony onscreen the actors may as well as not have kissed. Some reports have said they didn't actually kiss. Now if they had shown a real kiss, Star Trek may claim some fame. But they blew it. It has also been said that they didn't want Uhura to kiss Spock because Spock was an alien and they wanted to show white and black characters kissing, which makes more sense.
