In my opinion, Star Trek IV and VI were the best movies.

ST IV has the best humour in all movies and doesn't take itself too  
serious - but also contains a (although simple) nice story with an  
important message to humankind.

ST VI also contains an important ethical message and is a good movie with  
the Klingons :)

I don't like ST II very much as it mostly is about revenge and one bad  
villain, which isn't very attractive to me.

Same, they are more of Star Wars movies but not really Star Trek.
I stopped watching ST movies after I watched the first JJ trek movie...

Besides that, I didn't like the visual style, as I almost got sick from  
all the camera wiggling - and the cuts were way too fast for me to really  
catch what's on screen in a given moment.
