I loved the story arcs in DS9, and because they weren't dealing with an alien-of-the-week, we got a lot more character development. And some amazing acting from Andrew Robinson, Aron Eisenberg and Avery Brooks, to name others. I was struck by how Aron Eisenberg had taken a minor character with Nog and made a character and a story that resonated with the viewers. Watching Nog plead with Sisko to get into Starfleet, Treachery, Faith and the Great River, going into battle and recuperating at Vic's was a great story arc that set a minor character into Star Trek lore. And, I could re-watch "In the Pale Moonlight", "Far Beyond the Stars" and "The Wire" repeatedly. ....
