the main guts are the "sort -n | uniq" part... i still generally go back 
through and look at the lines... especially since they're now sorted and it is 
easier to find typos for things like exact same lines but one has a typo period 
where the other has a proper comma...

yeah, in that one, it was easy... the next one, though, is a bit tougher...

they're not so bad... like learning .bat coding in DOS... they are a lot more 
capable, though... kinda like using 4DOS with its enhanced scripting 
capabilities... the other thing, though, is using the available tools... i 
mainly write scripts so i don't have to remember all the steps and specific 
command lines to do certain things...
