Heh.  Well, kind of.  The code says:

   # Trick synchronet bbs list into thinking we are one of them
    print "Synchronet BBS for Win32  Version 3.18"

....and then hides it.  You'd have to look at the scroll back to
notice.  Pretty nafarious.  I'm not sure what came over me years 
ago... 

On the BBS list messages, the system says it's "Quarkware BBS".

I'd love to come out of the cold, if you know what I
mean...
