It seems that NTVDM hack may only work on Windows up to 10.  I tried installing it on my Windows 11 desktop and had some trouble (it gave an error when trying to install one of its pieces, and I still couldn't run 16-bit DOS software).  Also, Microsoft Security Essentials in Windows 11 keeps reporting that it found a virus or some kind of malware in that NTVDM hack..
