there was a number you called. you got a code.
you put the code into the bbs.

it wasnt all done electronically through the bbs.

i think when i did it there was a 'door' i used made a selection and my phone was billed.

it went on the phone bill. you actually didn't have to pay those charges and i canceled it once when i didn't get access to the bbs. you called up the phone company and said you didnt want to pay that charge and they said ok.  no skin off their nose.

so it was really brain dead and simple stuff.
