      Title: Vanilla French Toast

      Yield: 6 servings
 
      4 lg Eggs; lightly beaten
      1 c  Milk
      2 tb Sugar
      2 ts Vanilla extract
    1/8 ts Salt
     12 sl Day-old sandwich bread

MMMMM---------------------OPTIONAL TOPPINGS--------------------------
           Butter
           Syrup
           Fresh berries
           Confectioners' sugar
 
  In a shallow dish, whisk together the first 5
  ingredients. Preheat a greased griddle over medium heat.
  
  Dip bread in egg mixture, allowing to soak 30 seconds on
  each side. Cook on griddle until golden brown on both
  sides. Serve with toppings as desired.
