      Title: Turkey A La King
 Categories: Poultry, Vegetables, Dairy, Breads, Mushrooms
      Yield: 6 servings
 
      1 md Onion, chopped
    3/4 c  Sliced celery
    1/4 c  Diced green pepper
    1/4 c  Butter; diced
    1/4 c  A-P flour
      1 ts Sugar
  1 1/2 c  Chicken broth
    1/4 c  Half & Half cream
      3 c  Diced, cooked turkey or
           - chicken
      4 oz Can sliced mushrooms;
           - drained
      6 sl Bread; toasted
 
  In a large skillet, saute the onion, celery and green
  pepper in butter until tender. Stir in flour and sugar
  until a paste forms.
  
  Gradually stir in broth. Bring to a boil; boil until
  thickened, about 1 minute. Reduce heat. Add cream,
  turkey and mushrooms; heat through. Serve with toast.
