June 9 - National Strawberry-Rhubarb Day

      Title: Bernice's Rhubarb & Strawberry Compote
 Categories: Five, Fruits, Condiments
      Yield: 6 servings
 
      1 lb Rhubarb; in chunks
      1 pt Sliced strawberries
    1/2 c  Sugar
      3 tb Water
 
  In a sauce pan, bring the sugar, water, and rhubarb to
  a boil (low heat) then cover and simmer until soft.
  
  Stir in the strawberries.
  
  Chill and serve.
