      Title: Blonde Cookie Bars
 Categories: Cookies, Snacks, Nuts, Chocolate
      Yield: 18 servings
 
      2 c  Packed light brown sugar
    2/3 c  Shortening
      2 lg Eggs
      2 ts Vanilla extract
      2 tb Water
      2 c  A-P flour
      1 ts Baking powder
    1/4 ts Baking soda
      1 ts Salt
      1 c  Fine chopped walnuts
      3 oz Semisweet chocolate chips;
           - melted
 
  Set oven @ 350ºF/175ºC. Coat a 9" x 13" baking dish with
  cooking spray.
  
  In a large bowl, combine brown sugar, shortening, eggs,
  vanilla, and water; mix well. Add flour, baking powder,
  baking soda, and salt; mix well. Add walnuts, and stir
  until well combined. Spread batter into prepared baking
  dish.
  
  Bake 30 to 35 minutes, or until a wooden toothpick
  inserted in center comes out clean. Allow to cool
  slightly, then drizzle with melted chocolate. Allow to
  cool completely. Cut into bars
