For the icing - trade the margarine for butter (as above) then: In a large bowl, cream together the butter and vanilla (flavouring. Blend in confectioners' sugar, 1 cup at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in the milk, and continue mixing until light and fluffy. Keep icing covered until ready to decorate. I'm allerginc to banananananas so I've never mead banana bread. But the tomong and temperature I gave above is typical for quick breads like this.
