Subj : 10/27 American Beer - 3 To : All From : Dave Drum Date : Mon Oct 25 2021 15:43:00 MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Barbarian Beer Braised Ribs Categories: Five, Beef, Beer, Bbq Yield: 3 Servings 1 lg Onion; coarse chopped 24 oz (2 bottles) pale ale 14 oz Can beef stock 5 lb Beef ribs Barbecue sauce Equipment: A large pot with lid and a knife Coarsely chop the onion and toss it into the pot over a medium-high heat. Allow the onions to caramelize. Once they’ve softened, toss the ribs into the pot and sear them ~ just a minute on each side. Once seared, add in the beer and stock and bring to a boil. For beer, I strongly recommend a pale ale like Magic Hat’s #9. Once the liquid has come to a boil, reduce to a simmer and cover with a lid. Let the ribs simmer for 3 to 4 hours, occasionally turning them. Once the meat starts falling off the bone after a few hours, remove them from the liquid and slather them with your favorite barbecue sauce. An alternative way to make these would be in a crock pot for several hours as well when you’re out raiding. From: http://castlesandcooks.com.com Uncle Dirty Dave's Archives MMMMM ....
