Subj : BH&G 3516 To : All From : Dave Drum Date : Wed Aug 04 2021 05:09:00 MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Slow Cooker Mongolian Beef Categories: Oriental, Beef, Rice, Vegetables, Herbs Yield: 6 Servings 1 1/2 lb Beef flank steak; trimmed 2 c Sliced onions 3/4 c Packed dark brown sugar 1/2 c Soy sauce 1/2 c Water 1 tb Quick-cooking tapioca; - crushed 1 tb Grated fresh ginger 5 cl Garlic; minced 2 Green onions; sliced - (white/green separated) 3 c Hot cooked rice Cut meat into six portions. In a 3 1/2 or 4 quart slow cooker combine meat and sliced onions. In a bowl combine the next six ingredients (through garlic). Pour over meat. Sprinkle with white portions of the green onions. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours. Remove meat, reserving cooking liquid. Slice meat across the grain or coarsely shred; return to cooker. Serve over rice and sprinkle with green portions of the green onions.
