Subj : St. David 07 To : All From : Dave Drum Date : Thu Jun 24 2021 05:39:00 MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: David Begler's Spam Ole Categories: Pork, Breads, Soups, Cheese, Chilies Yield: 6 Servings 12 oz Can Spam 1/2 ts Cumin 1/2 ts Garlic powder 1 cl Garlic; minced 6 Roasted anaheim chilies 12 Corn tortillas 21 1/2 oz (2 cans) cream of mushroom - soup 10 3/4 oz Water; 1 soup can 1/2 lb Velveeta; sliced 1/2 lb Cheddar cheese; grated 1/2 ts Garlic powder 1/2 ts Cumin; additional (opt) For the meat mixture: Plop the Spam from can directly into a 12" frying pan, and cook on medium heat. With a fork or potato masher, break Spam into small pieces (like ground beef) and add cumin, garlic powder, minced garlic, diced chilis, red hot pepper sauce and black pepper. Cook until brown and crumbly. Break the fried tortillas into pieces and layer half of them in the bottom of a 9-by 13-inch pan. Sprinkle with garlic powder and cumin, if desired. Spoon half of Spam mixture over tortilla layer. Arrange Velveeta slices on top. Repeat with remaining tortillas, cumin, garlic and Spam mixture. Top with grated cheddar cheese.
