Subj : BH&G 2567 To : All From : Dave Drum Date : Fri Apr 30 2021 19:53:18 MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Orzo Pasta w/Mushrooms & Leeks Categories: Pasta, Mushrooms, Vegetables, Herbs, Cheese Yield: 5 Servings 3/4 c Dried orzo pasta 1 tb Butter 4 oz Assorted fresh mushrooms; - sliced or quartered 1 Leek; chopped +=OR=+ 2 lg Green onions; chopped 1/4 ts Pepper 1/8 ts Salt 1 cl Garlic; minced 1/4 c Water 1 ts Snipped fresh marjoram +=OR=+ 1/4 ts Dried marjoram; crushed 1/2 ts Instant bouillon granules; - beef or chicken Grated Romano cheese Cook orzo according to package directions; drain well. Meanwhile, in a large skillet heat margarine or butter over medium-high heat; stir in the mushrooms, leek or green onion, pepper, salt, and garlic. Cook, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Add water, dried marjoram (if using), and bouillon granules. Reduce heat; cook until liquid is almost absorbed, about 6 minutes. Stir in fresh marjoram, if using. Toss mushroom mixture with pasta.
