Subj : BH&G 2539 To : All From : Dave Drum Date : Tue Apr 27 2021 16:52:24 MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Lentil-Ham Soup Categories: Pork, Greens, Vegetables, Cheese, Herbs Yield: 6 Servings 3 c Chicken broth 3 c Water 1 md Onion; in thin wedges 1 1/2 c Chopped celery 1 1/2 c Thin sliced carrot 1 c Brown lentils; rinsed, - drained 6 oz Cooked ham, diced 1 1/2 ts Dried thyme; crushed 3 c Shredded fresh spinach 1 oz Parmesan cheese; shaved In a 4 to 5 quart slow cooker, combine broth, the water, onion, celery, carrot, lentils, ham, and thyme. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 7 to 8 hours or on high-heat setting for 3-1/2 to 4 hours. Stir in spinach. Ladle into bowls. Top each serving with Parmesan cheese. Makes 6 servings.
