Subj : BH&G 2509 To : All From : Dave Drum Date : Sat Apr 24 2021 16:46:40 MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Spicy Pecans Categories: Snacks, Nuts, Chilies, Herbs Yield: 12 Servings 1 1/2 ts Chilli spice mix 1 ts Curry powder 1 ts Garlic salt 1/4 ts Ground cumin 1/4 ts Ground ginger 1/4 ts Ground cinnamon 3 tb Olive or cooking oil 1 ts Worcestershire sauce 1/2 ts Bottled hot pepper sauce 3 c Pecan halves In a skillet mix chilli spice, curry powder, garlic salt, cumin, ginger, and cinnamon. Stir in olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, and hot pepper sauce. Cook and stir over low heat 5 minutes to mellow flavors. Place pecan halves in a bowl; add the spice mixture. Toss to coat evenly. Spread pecan halves in a single layer in a 15" x 10" x 1" baking pan. Bake in a 325ºF/163ºC oven for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Spread nuts on foil and cool completely. Makes 3 cups (twelve 1/4-cup servings). MAKE AHEAD TIP: Prepare and cool nuts. Seal in an airtight container; store 3 days at room temperature, 1 week in refrigerator or 1 month in freezer.
