Subj : San Pedro 15 To : All From : Dave Drum Date : Sat Apr 17 2021 20:53:30 MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Point Pedro Vadai Categories: Beans, Rice, Chilies, Vegetables, Snacks Yield: 22 Servings 125 g Broken urad dhal 300 g Roasted white rice flour 2 tb Red chile powder 1/4 ts Turmeric powder 1/4 ts Crushed chile 3 cl Garlic; minced 1 md Onion; chopped 1 Sprig curry leaves; chopped 1 1/2 tb Cumin seed Salt Boiled hot Water Oil for deep frying. Clean the urad dhal and soak it for 3 hrs. Drain and add the broken urad dhal with roasted rice flour, red chile powder, turmeric powder, crushed broken chile, minced garlic, cumin seeds, chopped onion and curry leaves and salt. Add the boiled hot water and knead well with little oil until firm without sticking. Make it small gooseberry size balls and flatten it thinly using your palm. (apply little oil on your palm) Heat enough oil for deep frying in a large heavy based pan. Deep fry until golden brown in a medium flame. Deep fry the vadai(s) in batches until golden.
