Subj : BH&G 2136 To : ALL From : DAVE DRUM Date : Thu Mar 18 2021 13:11:00 MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Red Onion-Garlic Steak Sauce Categories: Vegetables, Herbs, Chilies Yield: 1 Servings 1/3 c Butter 5 lg Red onions; thin sliced 1/2 c Brown sugar 1/4 c Minced garlic 1 tb Fresh ginger; peeled, - minced 1 md Ripe tomato; fine diced 1/2 ts Hot sauce; to taste 7 tb Worcestershire sauce 3/4 c Sherry wine vinegar In a large skillet heat butter over medium heat and add onions and brown sugar until well browned, about 30 minutes. Stir in garlic, ginger and tomatoes and cook about 3 minutes. Add hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce and wine vinegar. Reduce the heat to low and cook stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened about 15 minutes. Remove from heat and season with salt and pepper. Let cool to room temperature.
