Subj : St. Isabel 06 To : All From : Dave Drum Date : Thu Feb 25 2021 10:04:00 MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Isabel's Kochen Categories: Pastry, Desserts, Cheese, Fruits Yield: 6 Servings MMMMM----------------------------BASE--------------------------------- 4 oz Butter 1 Egg 1 ts Baking powder 3 tb Sugar 1 1/2 c Flour pn Salt 2 ts Milk; opt MMMMM--------------------------FILLING------------------------------- 2 ts Cornflour 2 lg Eggs 1/2 c Sugar 1 tb Currants 16 oz Plain cottage cheese 2 ts Melted butter Cream butter and sugar. Add egg, mix and then add dry ingredients. Roll or press into a greased shallow tin. Don't forget to press the mixture up the sides of the tin to form a lip. Do not cook yet. FOR THE FILLING: Beat sugar and eggs and then add all the other ingredients and mix together. Pour into the uncooked base. Set oven @ 400ºF/205ºC but turn down oven to 325ºF/165ºC when you put the Kochen in. When about three quarters cooked, take out of the oven and put a few dabs of jam here and there and also a few dabs of thick cream.
