A quick (and somewhat uncomprehending) look at github suggests the effect is confined to the Pi4 and Pi5. I was wondering if rpi-eeprom might also effect part of the boot process on older Raspberry Pi boards. Not strictly eeprom code, but maybe extending to the DOS materials like bootcode.bin. It's understood there's no hardware equivalence, but there might be some functional equivalence.
