I understand your logic, but most of the scammers I've dealt with seem to be calling from Jamaica and/or Nigeria. They literally have nothing to lose. So why would they (assuming I'm right about where they were calling from) suddenly cease fire in wake of Democrat-passed legislation? It seems like the Democrats called their Nigerian friends and said "Guys, no more phone calls. We need to make it look like our legislation was useful.
