Well. let's see the first 10 amendments of The Constitution come directly from The Bill of rights.

That leads me to believe the founding fathers had exactly this in mind when they wrote it..

That is reason the United States has not had an established national language nor national religion until the current administration.

This would lead me to believe it is Trump and his misguided followers are the ones with the "Broad interpretation".
