Negotiations for a massive tax cut in the US are already faltering within the Republican party, as some members appear to have a conscience. They blocked every budget change proposed by Biden that would cost money, insisting it had to be budget-neutral. Now, that rule would have to be completely abandoned. Not every politician, even on the Republican side, is capable of being that thuggish.
