In this case, it seems like Google had startpage.com on the backburner all along, but even today startpage isn't very popular. But that's where Yahoo and Bing come in; not necessarily shell companies, but accomplices for sure.

Same here, but I'm not worried about my searches being biased way, I'm
worried about the affect that it has on all the Alans of the world.
